Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil | TOTAL FAIL

On Thursday 2nd June I headed to the shop eager to this month's copy of ELLE Magazine. My reason; to get my hands on a deluxe sample size of Benefit Cosmetics new brow pencil called 'Goof Proof'. To start with let's look at what Benefit say's about the 'Goof Proof Brow Pencil-

"Presto…everyone’s an expert with this super easy filling & shaping eyebrow pencil. It features a custom, non-sharpen “goof-proof” tip, soft colour and a glide-on formula for easy & fast brow filling. Comes complete with built-in blending spoolie-brush"

As I said I was eager to get my hands on Goof Proof before it was available on Benefit Counters but (and I'm going to be brutally honest) I am SO disappointed in this item!! 

To start with I was expecting something along the lines of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, this is not like the ABH Brow Definer AT ALL. 

I found my Benefit Goof Proof to be very hard to the point it was snagging and ripping at my brow hairs (not cool). I tested it out on the back of my hand thinking maybe I need to warm the end slightly before attempting it on my brows again and it fared no better! 

Now forgive me if I'm mistaken but a brow pencil is used to help fill and define sparse brows that have been over plucked or need shaping and defining. Therefore the pencil is soft enough to mimic hairs, creating a natural looking brow. The shape of the pencil s perfect yet it is simply too hard to use. After tweeting about my Goof Proof, thinking is it part of a faulting batch this is how Benefit responded........

I have to admit this wasn't the response I'd expected! AND I CHECKED! There is no such 'amazing technology' mentioned on the Benefit website or anywhere within the online community. Also what is the point of the Goof Proof Brow Pencil 'only attaching to the hair'? Surely if you are filling your brows you need the product to colour the skin so you can mimic hair and boost the look of your brows?? 

Really it's total crap and I'm feeling completely fobbed off by Benefit!!!! I've loved the Gimme Brow, all of the Blush Boxes, Roller Lash, Shy Beam, High Beam add so many more of the Benefit products yet this has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. 

My advice, don't waste your money on the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil, instead buy the Anastasia Brow Definer.

P.S the only positive is the colour (Number 2) would have been perfect for me.
