Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi

I know Summer is technically over however I wanted to share my thoughts on the Scholl Express Pedi. I'd been thinking about getting one but held off as I wasn't 100% sure how I'd get on with it. Call me old fashioned but I like my standard foot pumice and the results I get. After seeing a friend of mine recently who had nothing but positive things to say about her Scholl Express Pedi I took the plunge. And let's be honest, if a girl friend loves it what better recommendation! I picked mine up while in Tesco (they had £10 off) and I have to say it's be best electrical item I've bought in a long time!!!
The Scholl Express Pedi comes with one 'roller', 2 x AA Batteries and a protective cover that fits over the roller when not in use. It is so easy to use, simply switch it on and the roller starts to rotate. Apply gentle pressure to the area that needs attention and the pumice does the work for you. Honestly thats it! Although the Express Pedi isn't waterproof it's recommended to pop the pumice off to clean after each use; there is a little blue button (visible on the photo above) that you press to release the pumice.
I won't scare you with before and after photos of my feet but I really did get results from the first use. Plus it was so quick and simple to use, no arm ache from using a standard foot pumice or trying to bend yourself into odd shapes to reach the bits you want to smooth!
My only complaint is the protective cover doesn't clip into place so as soon as I move the Express Pedi the cover falls off. Maybe they aren't a snug fit? Is it a design flaw or is mine faulty?? That aside I'm super happy with my little magic wizzy pumice, have you tried the Scholl Express Pedi? I'd love to hear your thoughts :) x

L'Occitane Shea Skincare Range

I am so behind in writing this post up! As much as I love skincare products, I do find it hard to write about them on my blog. Thus I end up sidetracked and show you more pretty makeup and nail polishes! So the day has finally come.........here is the L'Occitane Shea Skincare products I have been using since their launch (February I believe?).
I bought the 5% Cleansing Oil, Gentle Toner and Light 5% Comforting Cream. All have a wonderfully light Shea fragrance to them so it's not too overpowering on the face.
The 5% Shea Cleansing Oil can be used on either dry or wet skin. I use it on dry skin as I feel it removes my makeup for efficiently. It is a lovely silky formula which I work over my face and neck then with wet hands I emulsify the oil into a milky consistency, then rinse.
Next onto the Gentle Toner. Now I will say I've never been one for toners and this is why. To me they just feel wet and I end up flapping my hands around my face to dry off before putting on my moisturiser. I've used less product on a cotton pad and still have the same result. It does, once dry, give me a nice base for the Light 5% Comforting Cream......
The Comforting Cream is exactly what it says on the jar. Considering this contains Shea the cream is very light and airy; almost milky to touch. A small amount of cream goes a long way and I found it soaks in nice and quickly so I'm able to get makeup application done swiftly in the mornings so we can get to school on time.
They are very good value for money too. The Cleansing Oil 200ml is £17, Gentle Toner 200ml is £15 and Light Comforting Cream 50ml £26. I have repurchased both the Oil and Toner and they have run out just as I finished my jar of Comforting Cream. Basically I used two Oils and Toners to one Comforting Cream. Not bad when you think about it like that!
Overall verdict is a good one. Although the toner isn't my kind of product I did use and repurchase it as I like to use the correct system when it comes to skincare. I have oily/combination skin and these didn't aggravate my skin at all or cause breakouts. If you like the L'Occitane Shea products these are certainly ones to try in future. Enjoy xx

Pretty Neutral Nails

There is nothing I like more than a fresh manicure! This weeks nails come in the form of pretty neutrals - hence the title of the post ;) Rather then painting my nails all the same colour, which would have worked perfectly well I've decided to mix things up a little by using three polishes. The colours I have opted for today is a soft grey, pastel pink and a fine silvery glitter. There are no rules when it comes to painting your nails and your colour choice, I feel these all compliment each other well and it makes a nice change.
I have used my OPI Start to Finish for my base and top coat. The grey colour is called J Lo's Nude from the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche range. The pink is OPI Italian Love Affair. Finally my silver glitter is from China Glaze and is the shade Fairy Dust. All three colours have had two coats for perfect coverage. I could have gotten away with maybe a third coat of glitter but I didn't really have time; either way it looks fabulous.
What colour are you wearing on your nails today??

China Glaze Magnetix 'Cling On'

I wrote about the China Glaze Magnetix polishes back in 2012 (Here's the link if you fancy a read?).  I don't wear these very often however when I do I get lots of compliments and questions about what I have used on my nails. This particular colour is called 'Cling On'. It has a green based that darkens slightly when you use the magnet. In some light you can see a golden shimmer running through it, which I think makes this polish very special. The magnet design I've used today is a chevron pattern and looks amazing with all of the Magnetix polishes.
What colour are you wearing on your nails today?

EXCLUSIVE - Bedhead Tigi JOYRIDE

I've had a little sachet if loveliness I've been desperate to tell you about however I was unable to due until the 1st September had arrived. So today my silence has been broken and I am now free to scream and shout about the newest launch in the TIGI Bedhead range. Let me introduce you to 'Joyride'.
Joyride is the world's first 'Powder Primer Balm' or 'PP Balm' for hair! Joyride provides hair with the perfect layer for any style and keeps it that way - no joke this is a little miracle.
Joyride primes the hair with a fine invisible powder that adds texture and grip, making styling hair easy. It also provides the hair with grip that way a makeup primer does, meaning your hairstyle stays in place without hair looking or feeling stiff.
The press blurb says Joyride has a ground breaking formula that uses platinum charged and custom engineered elastomer molecules (found in skincare products) but in all honesty that doesn't really mean anything to us regular non-scientific folk!
When using Joyride you need to ensure you don't get any on the roots of your hair as I found (by accident) it will look greasy. To use, apply a small amount to the mid lengths of damp hair and style. I applied by root boost spray as normal for give me volume then roughly dried my hair off. I then like to tease the ends with a curling iron to give a little shape. Joyride worked perfectly with my regular products and I found my style lasted a lot longer - an no hair spray required!!!!!
When all's said and done Joyride has become my favourite must have product for my hair. I am so pleased I can now get my hands on a full size bottle now it's available in Tigi stockists; the sample size has been lovely but it just doesn't go far!
