OPI 'Light My Sapphire'

This polish by OPI is one that I rediscovered while rummaging through my vast stash of nail polishes. Some may think this colour is a little on the dark side for this time of year however it's just too good not to share on my blog today.
OPI 'Light My Sapphire' is a very dark shimmery blue - almost black you could say. I've applied two coats over a base coat and although this is super shiny without topcoat, I always find this particular colour stays longer when topcoat is applied.
This is one of the first OPI shades I bought and I have to say I've not used it for a while. Now I've applied it though I think it's going to be one I use alot of again!
I'll be back soon with more colours from the Kiziwoo vaults - Stay Polished xx

Vita Liberata Luxury Skincare & Tanning Products

In August I was lucky enough to win this fabulous prize from Liza aka GlamBeautys. The prize consisted of a selection of luxury, organic tanning and skincare products by Vita Liberata. Basically today wanted to give you a little rundown of which Vita Liberata products I received in the pack; then I'll update you in a few weeks on which ones I've used and what I think of them.

To start with the pack contains their entire SPF collection. The SPF collection is different for others I've used, these ones say they are non-greasy, lightweight and hydrating while benefiting from anti-aging ingredients. Being in my 30's this ticks all the boxes :)

The self tanning products are a unique to Vita Liberata and both work by gradually building up colour to your face while combating fine lines and wrinkles. They seem to be fail-proof facial tanning system - something I'm very interested in as it's an area I struggle with.

So here is the contents -

* Organic Passionflower and Argan Dry Oil SPF Factor 50
* Organic Passionflower and Argan Dry Oil SPF Factor 25
* Organic Passionflower and Argan Dry Oil SPF Factor 30 Face Serum
* Trystal Self-Tanning Minerals Bronzer with Kabuki brush
* Self-Tanning Night Moisture Mask

As I said I'll be back soon to update you with my Vita Liberata favourites......

China Glaze 'Orange Knockout'

Let me introduce this fabulously bright colour by China Glaze, this is 'Orange Knockout'  and what better way to describe this colour then WOW! China Glaze nail polishes never disappoint me. The consistency is just right although with this particular colour I needed to apply two coats of colour for good coverage. Orange Knockout is a matte finish polish which dries quickly meaning you don't have to spend too long waiting to get on with the day. This does look amazing with a topcoat applied and it obviously helps the colour last longer.
For today's nails I've opted to do an accent nail using my Inglot Nail Enamel in 715. I've then used Orange Knockout for polkadots with smaller dots of 715 on top. Hard to explain however you can see it well in the images.
What colour are you wearing today??

Simple Matte Nail Art

I haven't used my Barry M Matte Nail Paint for a little while so decided to dust them off for this weeks 'Nails' post.
This is very easy to do. Just select three colours that compliment each other and get a dotting tool or use a kirby grip for the polkadots.
These are matte polishes so I applied OPI Start to Finish for my base coat. You can you it as a top coat too but I like the matte look of these polishes. So I've used Vanilla as my base colour, then dotted Espresso and Crush on each nail, creating a simple design. I also decided to make a feature of my thumb nails by adding more polkadots to them.
And there you have it, I hope you are enjoying my little 'Nails' posts xx

KISS Cosmetics Lip Vinyl - Seductive Damson (mini sample)

KISS Cosmetics has recently launched their mini samples of Lip Vinyl and Lip Sticks. A very clever step by the Essex based company if you ask me! What more does a girl need then to be able to pay just £2 for a sample size to find the colour they are searching for?!?
So let's get down to the nitty gritty.....

This is the Lip Vinyl in Seductive Damson. First up I have to say this is not my kind of colour but it has been fun to wear for the purpose of this post. Lip Vinyl's are classed as a hybrid liquid lipstick which gives you a slick of high pigmentation colour without the stickiness of a lipgloss. And I have to say it's a pretty good description!
The pigmentation is fabulous and I wasn't left with a sticky texture on my lips. It feels moisturising and smooth. I found the Lip Vinyl a little tricky to apply, mainly down to the size of the applicator; that said it is a sample size. The consistency is lovely and smooth once you've mastered the little lid-applicator. This shade 'Seductive Damson' is a medium tone purple which suits both warm and cool skin tones. If you like your bright colours this is one for you :-)
The packaging is very sturdy and there has obviously been a lot of thought gone into this styling and feel of the package! When you receive a mini it comes on a 'postcard sized' card with a description of the product and ingredients listed, too which is a nice touch.
The only downside for me is the fragrance of the Lip Vinyl. Personally I found it too strong but you can't please everyone!
Overall though I'm very impressed by the KISS Cosmetics Lip Vinyl 'mini' and would say they are well worth for a tester. You could even buy these to pop into your handbag for work or a night out.

Check out the full range of mini products at the KISS Cosmetics website and use the discount code SHOW15 to receive 15% OFF your next order*

Gerard Cosmetics - Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss 'Butter Cream'

During a recent online splurge on BeautyBay.com I picked up this gorgeous lipgloss by Gerard Cosmetics in Butter Cream.

Gerard Cosmetics Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss (yes that is its exact name!) are a rich and creamy lipgloss that comes in 27 sumptuous shades. They have a colour for everyone; Bahama which is a daring cool blue to Seduction a vampy deep wine shade. I currently have a rather long list of shades I want to get my hands on - shh don't tell Mr!

Anyway back to the review. Gerard Cosmetics Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss comes complete with a little mirror on the side of the tube which means you can carry this around in your handbag and reapply when needed. Also when you undo the lip gloss you'll discover there are two little led lights that illuminate to help with application in badly lit areas or at night if you're out at a party.

The formula as I touched on earlier is rich and creamy on the lips. They contain Collagen Peptides to boost moisture and fullness; and are also infused with anti-ageing ingredients which helps prevent lips from drying out during and after wear.
I played it safe for my first purchase and chose the colour Butter Cream which is a creamy pink nude shade, perfect for every skintone. This colour is super pigmented and really does last well. It isn't gloopy on the lips, nor sticky or tacky. It simply feels like I'm wearing a lip balm.
So as I'm sure you can tell I'm really impressed with the Gerard Cosmetics Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss! If you fancy checking out the other colours from the range simply head over to BeautyBay.com RRP £15.00

St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil

I've not really touched on self tanning products much this year on my website. Possibly because I haven't tried anything new until now. So, basically I found out about the St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil while watching Ally Valentines 'June Favourites' on YouTube - if you don't know of Ally or her YouTube Channel the link is here -https://youtu.be/neg0Y-DSn98 . I decided to add this to my shopping list and I'm so pleased I did!

First impressions overall are good ones. The packaging has a expensive feel to it and unlike its St. Tropez counterparts the bottle is glass rather than plastic. The glass is frosted so you can see inside a beautiful golden glimmering liquid. On the glass the writing is embossed in gold, and the lid is also gold - although my lid doesn't seem to fasten on straight, it's wonky! When you remove the lid you'll find it has a plastic funnel that allows the liquid to drip out rather then pour (which would obviously make a terrible mess!)
The fragrance is unlike any of the previous St. Tropez products, this one has a citrus scent to it. Neroli, Lemongrass and Grapefruit essential oils are used which leads to the lovely non-fake-tan fragrance. These essential oils also improves the skin suppleness and is clinically proven* to help moisturise the skin for upto a week.
St. Tropez Luxe Dry Oil is fairly easy to apply using a tanning mitt, I'll explain why I say 'fairly easy' in a minute. I worked from the feet up, applying the Luxe Dry Oil to my skin in gentle strokes, taking care around the ankles, feet and hands (you don't want tell tale lines there!).  Although the Luxe Dry Oil soaks in faster than the St. Tropez Lotion you don't have to rush application, just work at a gentle pace.
Now when your applying this Luxe Dry Oil you'll immediately notice the guide colour isn't what you'd expect from St. Tropez. Rather than your skin having a muddy colour, you'll notice a lovely golden shimmer - this is your guide! I worked hard to make sure I didn't miss any parts of my body that would be on show, yet when I woke up the following morning and showered I found I'd missed bits of my legs - fail! It wasn't the end of the world as the weather has been a bit cooler here so I've kept them covered but next time I need to really make sure I get every piece of leg coated in the Luxe Dry Oil. That aside, I need to talk about the colour, oh my it is gorgeous! I'm golden and sun kissed after an 8 hour sleep, what more can I girl want! The colour of my skin is now darker than previously but not dark that people would know its from a bottle....it is perfect!

The verdict

* Would I buy the St. Tropez Luxe Dry Oil again - YES without a doubt. My skin feels soft and moisturised, The colour is great and although my legs are patchy I'm very pleased with the result.

* Would I recommend it - Again YES however if you are new to self tanning I would avoid it due to the 'guide color' not being great. New self tanners would be better to use either the St. Tropez Gradual Tan products (or similar). Feeling brave? go for the St. Tropez lotion or mousse, where the guide colour is nice and dark so you'll know immediately if you've missed any bits.

I purchased this from BeautyBay.com and it was reduced to £16.31

Swiss National Day 2015

The 1st August means one thing - it's Swiss National Day. For those of you unfamiliar with this day here is a little history about this Swiss public holiday........

"The Swiss National Day is the national holiday of Switzerland, set on 1 August. It is an official national holiday since 1994, although the day had been suggested for the celebration of the foundation of the Swiss Confederacy as early as 1889.
