Top 5 Mum-to-be Items

Lets get things straight before anyone jumps to conclusions - I am not pregnant and nor do I plan to be! We have our daughter and are more than happy with our little family!
The reasoning behind this post (and more like it) is that I’m going to become an Auntie again this Spring - it’s all very exciting! After speaking about all things ‘baby’ to my Sister-in-law, I thought it would be the perfect time to do a few baby related posts.
Today I’m bringing you my ‘Top 5 Mum-to-be Items’, so lets get started.

1- The Jumper Dress
I lived in my jumper dresses during the later part of my pregnancy. My due date was mid December and living in Zurich meant we had extremely cold winters. I bought about 3 that I rotated; teamed with thick leggings and boots they were perfect.

2 - Black Leggings
I hate leggings with a passion. There I’ve said it! However when I was pregnant they were the most comfortable bottoms I could wear. I’d struggled to find jeans that worked for me; over the bump they felt itchy, under the bump I felt like I was pulling them up all day! Leggings stretched with me and allowed me to roll them under my bump if I wanted. I should also mention I bought the thickest I could possibly find!

3 - Moisturiser
Sounds obvious but little did I know how itchy and dry my skin would feel during the 9 months. There are lots of moisturisers you can buy for pregnancy, stretch marks, etc. I opted for a moisturiser for dry skin that also didn’t have a strong perfume; I became intolerant to strong fragrances during the pregnancy!

4 - Mum-to-be Vitamins
These are a must especially during the first trimester. Pregnancy Multivitamins are packed with Omega 3, Folic Acid, Vitamin B, D and E that are all beneficial to your unborn child. I took Pregnacare by Vitabiotics, however there are a lot on the market to choose from.

5 - Pregnancy Pillow
This is an absolute MUST. Little did I know how much I needed one of these until I was given one during my bedrest stay in hospital (around 31 weeks). Known as pregnancy pillows or body support pillows, you can find them in places like Mothercare, Argos, and Kiddicare.com. They are a wonderful way to make sure your hips, back and tummy are supported during sleep or while you rest. I can’t recommend them enough! You can also use them for breast feeding baby and as a support when they start to sit up.

So that was my Top 5 Mum-to-be Items.
I hope you found this post helpful xx
