This delightful Wooden Cupcake Set by ELC (Early Learning Centre) was one of the presents Little Miss received for her 3rd birthday in December.
The set contains a beautifully painted wooden cupcake stand and 6 cupcakes, which are interchangeable. The look of the set is very ‘vintage tea party’ with its pastel colours and decorative frill painted on the cupcake stand. I also think it is lovely that we are still seeing a lot of wooden toys, which makes them feel timeless.
We’ve had hours of fun playing with this. We’ve ‘sold’ them in Little Miss’ shop (I’ve lost count how many cupcakes I’ve bought), we’ve ‘baked’ the bottom half of the cupcakes in her kitchen (then decorated them by placing the tops on), and our visitors over Christmas all ended up with ‘a cupcake and cup of tea’. It’s wonderful to see her little imagination at work.
The recommended age for this toy is 3 years plus. According to the ELC website this toy will help encourage social skills and imagination. Priced at £15 I think this is the perfect toy for any little lady.
