Glo & Ray Cosmetics *

"Glo & Ray is an exciting addition to the UK cosmetics scene. Drawing inspiration from light to create a stunning collection that seeks to illuminate individual beauty. Bringing together luminosity and vibrant colour to create a harmonious collection that compliments every woman's unique look."

Those of you who have followed my blog for awhile will know I just love my natural earthy toned makeup. From a range of beige and browns colours to bronze, golds and greens - I have a soft spot for them. You can therefore imagine my excitement when this parcel of goodies arrived from Glo & Ray!
Inside my parcel I found the CC Foundation in 20, which is the perfect shade for me. It's full name is Colour Correction Luminous Base Foundation and I have to say thats pretty accurate! This CC Foundation is skin perfection in a tube, it's velvety to the touch, blends like a dream and more importantly it's buildable. I did have to spot cover a few blemishes but overall my skin looked healthier and glowy. Glo & Ray CC Foundation is also long wearing, even on my oily/combination skin. I applied a little pressed powder on my t-zone and found I didn't need any touch ups throughout the day.
Next up I have two lip products. I must say I'm not a massive lipstick wearer I tend to gravitate towards lipgloss or liquid lipsticks, HOWEVER the formula on these two have won me over. First up is La Amo Creamy Matte Lip Colour in Muse 612. The shade is a stunning pink, it's not too bright and looks fabulous with a simply winged eye. I'd say this is more of a semi-matte finish then a true matte lip colour. I also have La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour in Tender 642. This particular colour is hard to describe it's not brown or orange - maybe closer to terracotta but then that colour varies widely! What I can say is Tender is a warm toned shade and isn't overly 'shimmery'. The highlight of these lip colour as I said earlier is the formula, they are rich, creamy, moisturising, super pigmented and last very well.
Last but not least is the Mariposa Quartet Eyeshadow in Golden Dunes 404. This quartet is made up of four (obviously) mineral packed colours, three are more on the neutral side and the fourth is on the brighter side giving you a pop of colour. You can create so many looks with this one palette; a quick sweep of colour or more intricately blended smoky eyes. Colour payoff is very good and I didn't experience any fallout when applying them. They are all shimmery shade which I know doesn't suit everyone. I however like a bit of shimmer. Mariposa Quartet Eyeshadows are long lasting and smudge-proof; tried and tested :)
Before I forget the packaging on all the Glo & Ray Cosmetics are well made and solid to the touch. I'm a fan of black packaging with white lettering, in my opinion it has a timeless feel to it.
I'll be doing some makeup looks using these products so you can see how they look on. Maybe some Autumnal/Winter looks?
