Cath Kidston Multi-Purpose Balm Set

I picked up this pretty little set by Cath Kidston a few weeks back. I’m not normally into Cath Kidston items, however I was instantly drawn to this.

Cath Kidston’s Wild Flowers Set comes with three pretty little tins, all containing beautifully fragranced multi-purpose balms; these are Bluebell, Wild Rose, and Honeysuckle.
All are lightly fragranced and not overpowering at all. You simply get a hint of flower, rather than feeling like you’ve fallen into a florist!

These balms are perfect for using as a lip product, cuticle cream, or for applying to dry skin such as elbows and knees. My favourite is the Bluebell and I’m using it currently as a lip balm for myself and Little Miss. The tins are a good size for popping into my handbag when we’re out and about.
You could even say they are a nice little gift, if you were feeling generous!

Check out the Cath Kidston website for more flora goodies
RRP £10.00

Maddy's Vintage Vixens #1

My career so far has been an adventure to say the least. I’ve meet some wonderful people (one I should mention is my fabulous husband); I’ve been lucky to have worked at some beautiful locations around Switzerland and have many tales to tell.

My latest adventure has led me to meet the bubbly Maddy - owner of Maddy’s Vintage Vixens, based in Needham Market (Suffolk).

During the summer Maddy asked me to work on one of her photo shoots, creating the hair and makeup look for a very beautiful model called Miss Candy Su. She was modeling some stunning swimsuits and dresses from the 1940’s and I have to say I think the finished photos look amazing.

We’ve since got together again to work on another photo-shoot, which I shall bring you photos and information about soon.

You can find out more about Maddy’s Vintage Vixens, and also shop for some of the items featured in her photo-shoots, by following this link (link to Pippstoo ebay shop)

NEXT - Little Miss 'Wedding Outfit'

We have a wedding to go to in November and after hitting the NEXT sales I found this beautiful dress for Little Miss.

It was a bargain.......Retail price was £24 and I paid just £12!!!
A major selling point on this dress were the colours. Little Miss really suits blue and orange tones as she has mediterranean skin which she gets from her father (not me!).

Cut in a very classic shape, this dress has a wonderfully timeless feel to it. Along with the ‘dog-tooth’ pattern, it has a cute little belt that nips in at the waist; making it puff out and show off the netting underlay.
As with all NEXT clothes, this dress is good quality and is a perfect fit for Little Miss.

On the wedding day I will team this dress with some pretty shoes and a cardigan. The wedding is in a local hotel so we won’t be traveling between the ceremony and reception.

All that’s left to do is to organise myself and Mr KME........Now what to wear???

Office - 'Game Plan' Boots

Last Christmas my sister got a beautiful pair of boots from Office and I was very envious. After testing them out in her house for ‘comfort’ and ‘look’ I decided I’d like some. At the time Office had sold out of every size so I was out of luck.

However……...I have found them back on the Office website.

Last Christmas my sister got a beautiful pair of boots from Office and I was very envious. After testing them out in her house for ‘comfort’ and ‘style’, I decided I’d like a pair too. At the time Office had sold out of every size so I was out of luck.

However……...I have now found them back on the Office website.

Let me introduce you to the ‘Game Plan’ Knee boot from Office!

These boots have a 4 cm heel and feature buckles. In the photos online they look like pull-on boots, but they do have a zip on the inside of the leg, which means they fit perfectly around the ankle.

To me they have a slight ‘biker’ feel and I love them . My order has been placed so I know I’ll have these when the damp weather kicks in!

RRP £120

My Favourite Perfumes

Today I thought I’d talk ‘perfume’.
I don’t know where you stand on this subject, but for me I have my special occasion fragrances and my everyday ones.

First up is my special occasion fragrance.
This has to be Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.
My husband first bought this for me when we were dating. I wore it when we married in 2008, during my pregnancy, and the birth of our daughter in 2010. It’s the fragrance I will always go for when we have a special occasion, and yet I also wear it day-to-day sometimes. This fragrance always draws lots of lovely comments. I’ve gotten through several large bottles and always have a spare for when I’m getting low.

Chanel says
This voluptuous, more generous version of the fragrance is surprisingly light and fresh.
A feeling of luxuriance is achieved through two exclusive ingredients that form the signature for all CHANEL parfums: Jasmine Absolute and May Rose Absolute. These delicate flowers bursting with confidence are highlighted by a touch of Iris from Florence.
The very sensual, amber peach shade of the parfum is revealed in the legendary CHANEL faceted bottle. The neck is sealed with a fine membrane, set off by a few rows of white pearl cotton yarn and a black wax stamp.”

Now its the turn of my everyday fragrances. I have a couple that I’m favouring recently.

Left - Ed Hardy Original /Right - Gucci Flora
Flora by Gucci
This perfume always reminds me of Gibraltar, we lived there for a year and I did a lot of duty-free shopping. Flora by Gucci has (and I quote) “crisp top notes of crunchy green accord, mid-notes of rose and osmanthus flower, followed by base notes of sandalwood”. For me it leaves a beautifully fresh airy fragrance on my skin which lasts all day.

Ed Hardy Original
Now this is my fruity number. It was a birthday present from one of my friends and she has fabulous taste in perfume. I tend to keep the mini size in my handbag as I do find the fragrance fades slightly during the day, however it’s still wonderful!
Ed Hardy says “The exciting composition of this fragrance opens with explosive notes of tropical mango, wild strawberries and red grapefruit. The heart introduces mystic black freesia, while the base follows with amber and rose accords.”

So there you are, three of my current favourite perfumes.
Which leaves me with the question…..What is your favourite??

Bold Lips & Eyeliner #FOTD

I saw this image online and thought I’d have a go at recreating it at home.
Now I’m not 100% sure I’d wear both elements together when going out, but you can’t deny it looks stunning!

(Source link)
For the eyes and lips I used:-
*MUA Eye Primer (over my eyelids)
*Bobbi Brown ‘Nude on Nude’ Eye Palette (shade 2 applied over the primer)
*Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeliner
*Clinique High Impact Mascara in ‘Brightening Black’
*IsaDora Perfect Moisture Lipstick in ‘Tropical Pink’

And this is my finished result……

What other 'looks' are you interested in seeing?
I hope you have a wonderful day, xx
