Steve Madden 'Beegee' Boots

Today's post is a little different when it comes to its format & layout. I've decided to do an extra post today so I'm working from the 'Blogger' phone app instead of my laptop. Please excuse any typo's ;)

Review - IsaDora Precisión Mascara

*PR Sample

The truth is, not every beauty product you try as a blogger is one you will fall in love with and rave about. Sadly this mascara didn’t hit the mark for me, but before we get into that lets look at the IsaDora Cosmetics ‘Precision Mascara’ in 10 Deep Black.

This mascara was sent to me a while ago. I’ve been “living with it” (or perhaps I should say persevering with it) for a respectable length of time, testing with different combinations of other cosmetics.
The packaging is very sleek with it’s mix of gloss black tubing and silver lettering. I think this looks very luxurious with the ‘IsaDora’ silver branding embossed on the lid. The mascara tube is slim, which gives you a hint of how small the mascara wand is going to be. Upon opening the mascara you discover the wand is one of those slimline rubbery types, you know the ones with no bristles (I do hope you’re following me hehe!).
The product texture is nice and smooth, and also incredibly black! IsaDora Precision Mascara really does lengthen lashes, as well as the wand grabbing every single lash making your eyes appear wide and bright.

Now as I said at the beginning, this sadly didn’t hit the mark. Perhaps I expect alot from mascara. I’m up early for the school run and don’t normally take my makeup off much before 10pm. This mascara (unlike my previous brand) had left me with very obvious black smudges on my under eye area, and this was before midday. I normally find IsaDora products a real pleasure to use. Unfortunately if this particular one can’t even make it past mid day, then I’m afraid it’s destined for the bin.

Have you tried the IsaDora Precision Mascara?
I’d love to know what you think of it xx

Valentines Day Nail Art

I love a little nail art every now and again.
Today I have a couple of nail art looks that are super cute for Valentines Day. They incorporate hearts and a selection of pink and creamy colours - naturally.  I’ve used polishes from my vast collection, including ones from OPI, Essie, Alessandra and China Glaze.
I hope you like them and find them inspiring for a Valentine you may have.

Home Decor - Ceiling Lights

I haven’t published many ‘Home Decor’ posts recently but today I have one for you all.
Last March we moved into our new house. We spent hours online and in-store searching for the perfect ceiling lights to go into our townhouse. Having lived abroad for so long, we had no light fittings to use as a ‘make do until we find something nicer’.
All we knew was that if we didn’t find some we liked, on move day we’d just have lightbulbs hanging from our ceilings - Not pretty!!
Our bathrooms, halls and kitchen have recessed LED spotlights, which were fitted by the building company. So we just had to buy some for our living areas, bedrooms and office. The ones we selected compliment the colour schemes we’d opted for in our soft furnishings.

Revlon Photoready Skinlights

Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator is my latest go-to base product. This product is a multi use illuminator; it can be worn to highlight areas of your face or mixed with your regular foundation. Revlon Photoready Skinlights Illuminator is available in 4 colours; Bare Light, Bronze Light, Pink Light and Peach Light; each tinted to suit every complexion. I have the colour ‘Bare Light’ which is a neutral tone, neither warm nor cool. I haven’t really used Skinlights as a highlighter much, I’ve applied it on my brow bones to highlight them instead of using a powder product, and really loved the result.
I’ve been using Skinlights with my favourite foundation. I don’t mix them together as Revlon suggests. I apply Skinlights thinly over my face with my fingers, then with my buffing brush I apply my foundation (I’m currently back to using the Clinique Pore Refining Foundation). For me this technique works wonderfully, resulting in a perfectly radiant yet dewy finish.
I’m very impressed with Revlon’s Photoready Skinlights Illuminator, have you tried these yet?

China Glaze Holographic 'Galactic Gray'

This weeks nails are by China Glaze Nail Polish and are part of the Holographic range of colours. This particular colour is called Galactic Gray. I’d best describe it as a dark grey base with a rainbow holographic finish. It really is a lovely colour to wear and is very eye catching due to the multi-tonal colours that shine through. I’ve found China Glaze to be wonderful to apply, and to date I’ve never had any issues with the formula or longevity of the colours. I’ve applied Galactic Gray over the top of my OPI Start to Finish (Base and Top Coat in one) followed by two coats of colour. This colour dried quickly and lasted very well on my natural nails. Have you tried any China Glaze polishes yet?
Be back soon with more nail colours xx
