Real Techniques - Core Collection

Although a little late, I finally bought myself the Real Techniques Core Collection brush set.
After much deliberation I settled on this fabulous set of makeup brushes.

The Real Technique brand was developed by Pixiwoo’s Sam Chapman.
As a professional makeup artist, Sam set out to develop the perfect makeup brush collection.
Her intention was to make it easier for women to create the perfect look.
Real Technique state that all their brushes are 100% cruelty-free, with bristles made from Taklon (which is synthetic).

The Core Collection consists of 4 full size brushes;

  • Detailer Brush: Precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas, or use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition.
  • Pointed Foundation Brush: Use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage
  • Buffing Brush: Ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation
  • Contour Brush: Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish.

My favourite brush from this set is the Buffing Brush. Without fail I use it every day to apply liquid foundation, and to buff in my blush or bronzer. I absolutely love it. So I can safely say I wouldn’t be without my Real Technique brushes, and I’m now looking forward to buying some more to add to my collection!

You can find Real Technique brushes in Boots (online and in-store)
Core Collection retails at £21.99

  1. Not sure why people are raving about Real Technique brushes, I purchased few brushes, after few use, i put them into a box not even touching them.. I believe it is a waste of money, I prefer to invest my money on good quality brushes, TBS brushes are much much better than Real Techniques and much more affordable..

  2. I really wish you could buy these seperately. I'd love to try some RT brushes, but I don't want to have to buy a whole set all at once.

    1. Some are sold separately although they are better value for money buying them in a set. Depends which brushes you wanted?

  5. I really want to try these but they're a bit overpriced for a few brushes.... especially when people don't think they're great quality!

    Good post,

    1. I like mine but then I use them for work so find them very hard wearing. I'm looking into other brands too and love to hear what others recommend xx
